This was an all-around wonderful experience. There is a really homey feel and everyone talks together as a group. Mrs. Sylvia and her family, employees and the other customers made our meal a very enjoyable, fun time. And the absolute best smothered pork and banana pudding I have had in my life. The chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese, fried okra, green beans, and hot water cornbread were all amazing, too. The lemonade is real, and very good. We will definitely be back.

THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO EAT SOUL FOOD
In the attached picture you can see someone "borrowing" a bite of the sweet and tangy meatloaf special. Can't blame him...it was that good. The homemade mashed potatoes and the mac and cheese are to die for. Last but not least is the pecan pie....oh my, it's awesome!
Sylvia's is a local treasure - every town should be so lucky. Sylvia is a owner, chief cook and hostess with the mostess! Seriously good home cooking. Local award winning in fact. Southern favorites, friendly folks all around. Relax, notice that everyone is happy and not counting calories, just enjoying the food and company.
