This park is huge. I was looking for a shady place to rest between visiting different friends in the area for lunch and dinner. I was intrigued by a user's photo of a waterfall, so I decided to visit this place. I found lots of water but no waterfall by the time I had to leave. The place was too big to see it all in my first visit. I will probably make extra time to stop by here whenever I have to go to Jacksonville. The only downside is I wish the sidewalks had labels to tell you what things are in which directions.
Very large park with paved nature walking/biking trail. Two playgrounds, restrooms, soccer field, baseball field and a skate park. Large open area's for picnics or walking the dog.
Beautiful place. Well maintained. New splash pad is a hit with the kids.
I enjoy coming here to just clear my mind in an peaceful atmosphere.
This place is VERY DANGEROUS.. Sunday August 13 my fiancé took My children and I for our very first time and we had a HORRIBLE experience. As went to view the waterfall and take photos near it, my fiance walked along side the little trail leading to the waterfall he had a major accident and slipped and fell down the 25 ft drop off and fractured his skull.. there were no warning signs no caution tape nothing stating that it may be dangerous for you or your family... I say the City of Jacksonville needs to take more caution for the safety of the people whom visit this park and put up some sort of guard rails or something of the sort to block off for protection and to prevent an incident like this to reoccurr.... People should be aware of the dangers..
